Terms of Use
Please read these Terms carefully before using Drop In.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Drop In (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Drop In app (“the App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You sign in using your phone number or an Apple or Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your device and sign-in method secure. Do not create accounts for anyone else or impersonate others.
4. What the App does
Drop In lets you discover, create, and join local sports events and meetups, and chat with other participants. We provide the platform; the events themselves are created and run by users, not by us.
5. Events and in-person meetups
Events are organized by users. We do not create, verify, supervise, or guarantee any event, location, host, or participant. You join and attend events at your own risk.
Physical activity and meeting people carry inherent risks. You are responsible for your own safety, for assessing whether an event is appropriate for you, and for your conduct toward others. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for anything that happens before, during, or after an event.
6. Payments
Some events may display a price set by the host. The App does not process payments and is not a party to any payment. Any money exchanged is arranged directly between users, at their own risk. We are not responsible for refunds, disputes, or the accuracy of any listed price.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the events, messages, and other content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display that content as needed to operate the App.
You are responsible for your content and must have the right to share it. We may remove content or events that violate these Terms.
8. Acceptable use
When using the App, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
- Post illegal, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content, or spam.
- Create fake events, impersonate others, or misrepresent yourself.
- Attempt to access data you are not authorized to, disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer or misuse the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Profile → delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App and its users.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the App, events you attend, or interactions with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Croatia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under your local law are not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
